At Nutrition in Motion, our experienced team of Registered Dietitians (RDs) provides nutrition counseling to treat a wide range of diseases, promote general wellness, and help you achieve your physical activity goals. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach working closely with you and your support system of physicians, coaches, and family members to develop a customized nutrition and lifestyle plan.
Whether you want to have more energy, lose weight, or need information to prevent or manage a medical condition, the RDs at Nutrition in Motion can help.
The initial assessment is about 60 to 90 minutes in length and involves a thorough review of current and past medical history, laboratory test results, family history, lifestyle, and health goals. We will do a complete analysis of the above information, and provide a detailed strategy for your success.
The RD will custom-design a lifestyle plan to help you achieve your goals. We know each client comes with a different set of circumstances. Single mom with kids? Businessperson who travels? Demanding lifestyle with family history of heart conditions? We take into consideration cultural, socioeconomic, financial, work, and lifestyle demands when designing your program.
with continuous guidance
Research shows that people have a higher success rate of achieving their goals with continuous guidance from a RD. Our 45 to 60 minute follow-ups allow us to fine-tune your individualized program, monitor progress, and provide motivation and support to meet your goals.
The frequency of follow-ups is dependent upon your personal situation. We find the greatest success with more frequent visits in the beginning stages of change (about every 3 to 4 weeks). This allows us to offer regular advice and guidance as well as tackle challenges head on. Appointments are then spaced out every 3 to 6 months to maintain behaviors and provide feedback on strategies for continued success.
